George Washington, the Man Who Would Not Be King

Ah, remember the good ol’ days when potential presidents were humble and reluctant to hold the office?  When they cared more about democracy than their own power?  When they were brave and honest instead of greedy and crude?  Me neither.  But, a few did exist.  (((sigh)))  Tomorrow, I will go vote for president.  No, I will not want to talk about it afterwards.  I will want to bake cookies and clean house with really loud Christmas music playing to try to drown out the memory of having had to vote that day.
