Evangeline of the Resurrected Stork

One of my New Year’s Resolutions is to restore quality dolls and teddy bears for donation to charity.  I remember when we were unemployed that strangers gave our children Christmas presents.  There are several charities covering Christmas, but the ones covering other events are not so well known or as widespread.  For example, there is a charity which provides birthday presents for children in foster care, but they don’t exist where I live.  At first, my plan is to donate birthday gift packages to local charities and individuals who know of those in need.  That may be enough.  I may not need to establish my own non-profit.  Here is the Facebook Page I set up for it- https://www.facebook.com/evangelineresurrectedstork/

I’ve been doing my homework on the project.  My favorite doll company is Ashton Drake.  They’re just realistic enough but not too realistic.  My own doll, Evangeline, will soon be on her way from them.    http://www.ashtondrake.com/

The Reborn Dolls are undoubtedly the most fascinating dolls, but I could never own one.  At least, not a human one.  They’re so real they make me think of deceased infants and would give me bad dreams.  Sorry.  We’re all different and I totally respect and admire Reborn artists and owners.

I do think I would love to create a Reborn Doll elf though.  Maybe it’s because I write stories about elves and know they’re not real.  But, goshdarnit, they’re cute!  Here’s a link to start learning more about Fantasy Reborns- https://www.etsy.com/listing/256858932/cherry-fantasy-hobbit-doll-kit-by-lenka?ref=market

In other news, I’m taking a break from revising A Vintage Heart until next Monday.  I need to clear my mind of story images so I can see the words for themselves in the Final Polish.
